From past experience,I told Christian that a good strong plunger would probably work to clear the toilet plug. My plunger was a dud and I didn't have the strength to use it properly (My age) He checked to see that all was cleared to the connections toward the main drain. and fortunately my fee was minimal. The next step would have been outrageously expensive. I have a new and better plunger ordered for the next same problem. Thank you, Christian, for listening to this old lady.
